Dear Readers,

I am pleased to announce some very exciting news: a brand new version of Halfway Down the Stairs! Instead of an all-in-one magazine, the new HDS will be more like an a-la-carte library. Each story, poem, and nursery rhyme will be contained in a separate document, so you can pick and choose what you want to read. I'll add new material each month as I've always done, and the magazine issues will remain archived on the site.

To accompany this change, I've been working on a "makeover" of the HDS site, and the new design will be revealed soon. In the meantime, check out our sister site, Sparrow Tree Square, which will be updated as usual.

Check back by the end of August for the new version of HDS. I hope everyone will be as excited about these changes as I am!
